Privacy Policy
Dinnr · Published by ScrimpCo · Missouri, USA · Effective date: August 24, 2026
This policy describes how ScrimpCo ("we") handles information in the Dinnr mobile app. Questions about privacy: scrimpbo@gmail.com.
What Dinnr is
Dinnr helps you decide what to cook. It does not require an email, name, or password to use.
Information we collect
We do not ask for your name, email, or payment details inside Dinnr today.
When you use the app we may store:
- An anonymous account ID created automatically on first launch so your plan can sync
- Food preferences you choose (likes, dislikes, dietary restrictions, allergies, cooking styles, time limits)
- Swipe and planning history (e.g., not tonight, not for me, meals you put on the calendar)
- Dinner calendar entries for the days you plan
- Basic technical data needed to run the service (device/app identifiers used by our hosting provider, timestamps)
Recipe photos and dish data come from our catalog. We do not use your camera or contacts.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- Save your calendar and preferences
- Rank dinner suggestions for you
- Operate, secure, and fix the app
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your food profile for ads.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on your device and on our cloud backend (Supabase). If you clear app data or uninstall before linking a sign-in account, that anonymous profile may be unrecoverable.
Sign in with Apple or Google is not offered yet. If we add it later, it will attach to this same profile rather than starting over.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that host or operate Dinnr (for example our database provider), and when required by law. They are not allowed to use your data for their own marketing.
Optional ranking features may run on our servers. We do not send your identity to advertising networks.
Retention and deletion
We keep app data while your anonymous account exists and as needed to provide Dinnr. Email scrimpbo@gmail.com from the address you use for support and include that you want Dinnr data deleted. We will delete or de-identify stored profile, preference, and calendar data we can reasonably locate. We may retain records if the law requires it.
You can also clear local data by uninstalling the app or clearing Dinnr's storage in system settings.
Children
Dinnr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
