Terms of Service

These are ScrimpCo's product terms for Dinnr. They cover your account, shared kitchens, the recipe catalog, and how Dinnr Pro works. Downloading Dinnr from the App Store is also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms do not replace Apple's EULA. By installing or using Dinnr, you agree to both.

The service

Dinnr suggests meals from a curated catalog and lets you plan dinners on a calendar. Suggestions are for convenience. They are not medical, nutrition, or allergen advice.

You are responsible for checking ingredients against your own allergies, diet, and any medical needs before you cook or eat. Catalog data and photos may be incomplete or out of date.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a contract in your country. If you are under 18, use Dinnr only with a parent or guardian's permission. Dinnr is not directed at children under 13.

Accounts and sign-in

You can use Dinnr without creating a traditional account. An anonymous account (a random user id on our backend) is created automatically on first launch. Optionally, you can Sign in with Apple or Google to share a kitchen with your household and recover your plan across devices. We do not offer email-and-password login. You are responsible for keeping your device and sign-in account secure.

Shared kitchens

A kitchen is a household group inside Dinnr. A kitchen has roles: an owner,editors, and viewers. The owner can manage members, roles, and invite codes. Editors can add and change meals and preferences. Viewers can see the shared plan. Invite codes let you add members without sharing email addresses. Treat invite codes like keys: anyone you give one to can join the kitchen. You are responsible for who you invite.

Dinnr Pro

Dinnr Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. On iOS it is sold by Apple. Payment, renewal, and cancellation follow Apple's terms, including the Apple Standard EULA. The subscription title is "Dinnr Pro." Its length and price are shown in the app and on the App Store purchase sheet at the time you subscribe.

To avoid a renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in iOS Settings (Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting your Dinnr account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in Settings.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from inside the app: open Profile → Account → Delete account. This removes your account. Shared kitchens you were part of stay available to the remaining members. Uninstalling Dinnr is not the same as deleting your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt Dinnr or our servers
  • Scrape or copy the catalog or images beyond normal app use
  • Misuse invite codes or share kitchens with people you do not live with
  • Use Dinnr for anything illegal

We may suspend access if these terms are broken.

Intellectual property

Dinnr, its design, and our recipe catalog structure are owned by us or our licensors. Food photos may be credited to their original sources. You do not get ownership of the app or catalog by using it.

Disclaimers

Dinnr is provided "as is." We do not warrant that suggestions will be accurate, available, or fit a particular diet. Cooking involves risk; use common sense. Suggestions are not medical, nutrition, or allergen advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for illness, allergic reaction, or other harm from food you cook using Dinnr. Our total liability for any claim related to Dinnr will not exceed the amount you paid us for Dinnr in the 12 months before the claim (currently $0 if the app is free).

Some places do not allow these limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted.

Changes and termination

We may change or discontinue Dinnr. We may update these terms; the effective date will change. Continued use means you accept the new terms. You may stop using Dinnr at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Missouri, USA have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
